Ria is proud to be one of the newest additions to Beavon Lawyers. She is passionate about helping people and being an advocate for the disadvantaged.
Ria was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in September 2014. She brings to the team a combined portfolio in the general practice of law and a legal skill set attuned to effectively practice in criminal defence law. Ria has represented clients from different walks of life including those charged with both State and Commonwealth offences in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts and Court of Appeal.
Her practice ranges from traffic offences to stalking and arson charges, offences of fraud against Workcover, bail applications, attendance at police interviews, applications under s172 of the Mental Health Act, and includes a case load of serious drug crime. Ria is also an accredited duty lawyer in both adult and children’s Court matters.
In her free time, you can find Ria seeking out a new challenge such as hiking to conquer a mountain or just watching Netflix!
